Most every American has heard some talk about the upcoming Super Bowl game this Sunday. Answer the following questions about the Super Bowl. DO NOT GIVE ME ANY ANSWER ALONG THE LINES OF "I don't like football," or "I could care less about football" and expect a grade. If you don't know the answers, use the internet to do some basic research.
1. Which two teams are in the big game? Are you cheering for a particular one?
2. What role does commercials have for the SuperBowl? What is the going rate for a commercial shown during the game?
3. Is there any company's whose commercials you are eager to see? For example, when I was in high school, the Budweiser frogs were all the rage. Everyone was always wondering what the frogs were going to do next...
Enjoy the game if you watch it. If football is not your thing, celebrate anyway with lots of buffalo chicken dip. :)
1. The New Orleans Saints versus th Indianapolis Colts. I'd like to see the Saints win but I don't particularly care.
ReplyDelete2. They have whole shows commited to them after the super bowl is over. A humorus commercial is going to win more people over than a regular ad with a cutsy jingle.They go for about $2.5 million for a 30 second ad.
3. I personally LOVE the budwiser commercials. They are always hilarious.
1. Colts and Saints. I would like to see the Saints win. I think the colts of course worked hard to get there but they make it to the Superbowl a lot so its not really a suprize. The Saints worked hard to get where they are today.

3. I'm excited to see the Coke commericals, they are always entertaining.

ReplyDelete2.I think commercials play the role of bringing peace to the game. When people get riled up about the game and angered, the commercials provide comical relief to cool them down. The rate is around $2.6 million for a 30 second commercial.
3. Im eager to see all of the beer commercials. I think those have been the funniest commercials in the past. Also, a commercial for emerald nuts was a surprisingly funny adition to the funny commercial tradition.

ReplyDelete2. The commercial's role, in my opinion, is for companies to kind of test out new ideas for commercials, like different styles of commercials. The going rate is at $3,000,000 for 30 seconds.
3. Honestly, i'm excited for the bud light commercials (it's not too heavy, it's not too light). Those commercials have been popping up recently and they seem to be very funny. I'm excited to see how far they push it at the superbowl.

ReplyDelete1. The football teams in the Superbowl this Sunday are the Colts and the Saints. I'm not rooting for either of these teams because I like the Pittsburgh Steelers, but I predict that the Saints are going to win.
ReplyDelete2. For this year's game, CBS is asking for $2.5 million dollars for an ad that lasts about 30 seconds.
3. I've always like the Coca-Cola and the Frito-Lay Ads. For the past 2 years, Frito-Lay allowed people to submit ideas for their ad in a contest. I'm not sure if they did that again this year, but I always remember them being very creative.

ReplyDelete2. At promagazine.com its reveals that brands pay $2.4 million for a 30 second spot on FOX during the Bowl. For those that might not have a interest in football they might tune in to see brand cooercials at their best as they bring entertainment to all that watch them.

Often the commercials are witty and funny in order to capture attention and boost sales. For this years 2010 super bowl the commercial rate is 3.1 million for a 30 second commercial.
I really like the budwieser commercials because they always seem to come up with witty humor. That or the E-Trade commercials with the talking baby.
PS If Katie Flynt, made enough of her buffalo chicken dip, there would be no sadness in the world.

But because there are so many people watching the same program all at the same time thier advertisement is guaranteed to reach a large amount of people all at the same time. The commercial space on Superbowl stations are selling for about 3.2 million dollars. Goodness gracious.... that is a large amount of money.
3. I am very much looking forward to the UPS and FedEx commercials. The Geico commercials use to be rather funny but they have kinda gone down hill since their caveman days.

ReplyDelete2. I think that the commercials are like something funny yet something that draws people in and makes them buy stuff and watch the game. Knowing there will be more commercials actually during the game makes people want to watch it also. I dont have an specific commercial that i look for although i seen one with Walmart one time i think like 2 years ago and it was histerical. So i really like all of them.
