Episode 104
ReplyDeleteIt was sort of creepy that the mortuary person has oversized coffins and thats what they use to bury the oversized people in. I did not even know anything like that existed. its sort of creepy!
In episode three it tells how hard it is to sustain the fresh food every week. You need money to support it and to train people to fix it properly. without that money you cant do it. So just out of curiosity how would a high school with over 1200 student be able to support a food schedule like that.

In episode 102, Jaimie showed the kids exactly how the chicken nuggets they got from McDonald's were made. He pretty much took the whole chicken and chopped it up, and mixed it with flavoring. Bones, giblets, and all. I found it surprising when the kids said that they would still eat them, but I think they just want the toy in the meal. I also think it's kinda ironic because my little sister practically lives off chicken nuggets and she's really picky about her food.

ReplyDeleteIt is kind of weird thing here and i think they need to talk about this and then discusse this to the kids and go from there. I have ever see this before but it is weird though.
Episode 101
ReplyDeleteI think they are treating childhood obesity like a game show. If you want to do it, do it! But don't say you have one week and only so much money to make these kids healthier.
In Shelby's comment she said that children spend most of their time outside of school so, therefore, the school would not have an impact on what they eat. Well, not necessarily. Most of every kid's life is spent in school and that could have a bearing on what they eat.
ReplyDeleteIn regards to episode 104, the fact that Jamie has taken on the challenge of making people love health and become interested in better eating habits is admidarble and i love the fact that he sees it as a challenge and has stepped up to the plate with dancers ect. is really interesting, i would have been persuaded by the end of the day.
ReplyDeleteIn episode 3 Jamie personally goes to a home to change the unhealthy eating habits of a family. He takes away their fatty foods and buries their deep frier, seemingly making them realize they need to turn their lives around or die by bad food. This is a good cause for him to help this family, but people can easily return to eating unhealthy. How can he be so sure this family doesnt return to bad eating habits. It's good if he did get through to this family because it would save their lives, but not every family can have a proffessional to tell them how to eat or excersise. Not every family or person can be individually saved.
ReplyDeleteIn episode 101
ReplyDeleteChildhood obesity is a problem and i feel as though people are making it a sport. if you want to overeat, then overeat. and if you want to be healthy, you have a certain amounty of time and money to do it
